Dr. Monica Wentworth
Dr. Monica Wentworth is a double board certified Plastic Surgeon, new to the Rio Grande Valley. Her parents, Hilda and Victor, were born in McAllen, Texas. Later, they moved to Pasadena, Texas, where they had two daughters.
Monica graduated High School at the young age of 16, eager to become a doctor. She attended Southwest Texas University, now known as Texas State University, completing a Bachelor of Science, Summa Cum Laude, in Biology by age 20. Monica graduated from University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, School of Medicine. She completed a fully accredited plastic surgery residency at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Prior to Plastic Surgery, she completed General Surgery residency at the University of California, San Diego and is Board-Certified in general surgery by The American Board of Surgery. Dr. Wentworth also completed a 2-year vascular research fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago.
Texas and the Rio Grande Valley hold strong roots to Dr. Wentworth. She quickly gravitated to Harlingen, because she saw a lack of Breast Cancer Support in the RGV. Dr. Wentworth’s passion is to make a difference in her patient’s lives doing cosmetic work. She offers a full menu of face, breast, and body cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. Dr. Wentworth established her own private practice in the Rio Grande Valley in 2017, where she dedicated herself to transforming lives through plastic surgery. In 2024, she made the decision to move to Houston to be closer to her family and enjoy the vibrant culinary scene. Now proudly serving as a surgeon with ACPS, Dr. Wentworth continues to bring her expertise and passion for patient care to the Houston community.
